Bharti Kher: An Absence of Assignable Cause, 2007
|
The exhibition INDIAN HIGHWAY at HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art is the first event of its kind in Denmark to address India´s contemporary art scene; a scene which has seen rapid development and growth in recent decades.
Indian Highway is a groundbreaking exhibition of Indian contemporary art, an event reflecting how the Western art market is in the process of being replaced by a global art market. In light of the remarkable and rapid economic, social, and cultural development seen in India in recent years, Indian Highway constitutes an important presentation of the pioneering artistic work being undertaken in the country today.
