Exhibition strategy
The Socle de Monde biennial and the rest of the programme forms the foundation for HEART's exhibition strategy. Danish and international contemporary art is presented within all media aspects such as paintings, sculptures, graphics, drawings, installations, video and photpgraphy. The special exhibitions change between one-man exhibitions with some of the international world of arts' biggest names; the Socle du Monde biennial and themitized group exhibitions.
The permanent Collection is a historical staring point for the changing special editions and constitutes the foundation of the museum as such. There are two defining elements for the HEART exhibition profile. One is the Piero Manzoni collection which is the biggest in the world and is the conceptual tradition within art history.
The second defining element is the permanent Collections' take off in shirt manufacturer Aage Damgaard's private collection and the unique way in which it was created. On the Angli shirt factories, Aage Damgaard created the strategy for cooperation between the business world and the artists which forms the foundation for the Socle de Monde biennial.
